Below is the e-mail we received from Charlie’s social worker at the Royal Alex Hospital Brighton:-

Dear CWCF

Thanks for accepting this referral. Not sure what the family would want at this time but I guess something that would help Charlie keep in touch with his friends would be best. He will have to spend a lot of time at UCHL in London. He is generally a very sociable boy so this will be a big wrench for him. I’m sure the family would be more than happy to hear from you.

 We contacted the family and sure enough he requested a laptop so he could keep in touch with his friends and from what we hear it is getting plenty of use. Along with Charlie’s wish, his parents also requested some new furniture for Charlie to relax on. Below is a picture of Charlie with the new laptop and sofa.
