In Memory of Josie

Lying down was too uncomfortable and Josie had been using a recliner chair whilst in hospital to sleep in, so we were asked if we could grant the family’s wish and get one for them at home.

Thanks to the staff at Furniture Warehouse in Uckfield and Josie’s Dad and friend, Josie had her chair waiting for her when she came back from the hospital.

Her Mum & Dad simply said this,

Hi,

Josie was so pleased with her new chair. Thank you so much for organising it.

Unfortunately Josie lost her fight against cancer in January 2010. But just because the family had lost her, they didn’t forget us and have since instigated fundraising on our behalf. Recently we were asked to go to the Uckfield Club where they presented us with a huge cheque for £1951 and when the band paying at the club that evening heard about the fundraising they waved £50 of their fee to round it up to the £2,000.

Thank you everyone who supported them. We will use the money to support other families.
