Below is an email that we received from Leila:

My name is Leila Herandi and i am sixteen years old.

In july 2009 i found a lump on my neck and started to get chest pains. A lot of scans, x-rays (and plently of blood being taken - ouch!), a ten day stay at St George's Hospital in London, a biopsy and a bone marrow sample later...I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma - a cancer of the lymph glands. I've had six months of chemotherapy and I finished a few weeks ago - the day before my sixteenth birthday! I am getting the picc line in my arm out in a few days and as soon as I do I'm going swimming!!

My clic sargent social worker, Claire, asked us if I, my mum and little brother would like to ask for a few wishes from the Children With Cancer Fund - and you can guess; we did not refuse! I recieved a beautiful brand new Acer laptop, my mum was given afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel with three friends and my little brother got a new digital camera! I love my laptop SO much and it's hard to get me off it sometimes, and we are all so grateful to Chris & Ursula for their amazing kindness!

In March we are going to stay at the Luton Hoo five star hotel in Luton for a night to celebrate the end of my treatment, which was another gift which the Clic Sargent team were given to give to some patients, which I can hardly wait for! I'm so excited and just so glad that my treatment is over so I can start getting back to normal life again and start enjoying it!!!"
