Rebecca's Story

Becky was one of two children who wanted a Wii when none could be found. After failing to track a Wii down, even after another radio appeal, we
checked with the family that they were willing to wait, (which they were), and finally we got them and presented Becky with her’s. We received a
lovely card saying thank you and also Becky’s story as follows:
“I was diagnosed with non-hodgekins lymphoma in August 2007. After intensive chemo and a big operation which was months in hospital, the doctors and consultants were 99% sure that all that was left was scar tissue. I have to have check ups every month, to make sure it stays the same. Our family really needed a break after all the treatment and Ursula said we could go to the CWCF caravan, which we did at Easter. When we are at home my family and I have so much fun playing on the Wii, it really was a great wish. Thank you all very much, Becky xx" |
